Jehangir Art Gallery

National Gallery of Modern Art
The National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) is located near Regal Cinema at Colaba in South Mumbai. As India's premier art galleries the National Gallery of Modern Art was opened to public in 1996. Since then it has been a generous patron of emerging and contemporary art, hosting the best in Indian art as well as the world. The thriving three tiered structure of NGMA houses collections from India's best-known living artists and provides a useful overview of the country's contemporary art scenario.
Piramal Art Gallery
As an outcome of the initiative of National Center for Performing Art, Piramal Art Gallery came up functioning as a part of the Center for Photography as an Art Form. Piramal Art Gallery is the only gallery of its kind in India, which exhibits works of leading India and International Photographers. The gallery has a preservation vault, which has a rare collection of the works of renowned photographers such as Judith Mara Gutman, August Sander, Asvin Mehta and Raghubir Singh.
The Art Gallery of Nehru Center
The Nehru Center is based at Worli in Mumbai. Established in 1992, this gallery is a patron to young artists providing them with a forum for exhibitions, lectures and workshops. You can enjoy a Monson Show - Chatak that shows arts of students and young professionals.
Prithvi Gallery
Based on Juhu Church Road in Juhu, Prithvi Gallery is a part of the Prithvi Theater Complex open for public from 12 O'clock to 8pm. The gallery vouches for developing a link between the lay men and the artist and creating a subtle understating and creating interest for the fine arts by means of seminars, slide shows, film shows and panel discussions on the fine arts.
Pundole Art Gallery
Stared in 1963 by Kali Pundole, the Pundole Art Gallery is based at 369, Dadabhai Naoroji Road, Fort, Mumbai. Devoted to modern Indian Art, the gallery has exhibited the works of M F Hussain, Akbar Padamsee, Laxman Shreshta, Badrinarayan, and Ram Kumar.
Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery
Set up in 1980 at 226 Bajaj Bhavan at Nariman Point in Mumbai, the Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery aims at promoting budding artists. The gallery is reserved for students from June to August and open to all artists only from September to March. In the month May workshops are held on wide subjects ranging from basic drawing and painting to miniature painting (their specialization), ceramics, pottery, terracotta, puppetry, and mask painting.
FD Alpaiwalla Museum
Founded in 1952, Alpaiwalla museum is the only community museum in Mumbai, and is purposed to display the bits and bobs garnered by Alpaiwalla, a Parsi bullion merchant, during his travels around the globe. Among the exhibits here are findings from archaeological excavations in Susa, Iran by Parsi scholar Jamshed Unwalla, an ancient astodan for storing remains of the dead, painted illustrations of pre-Zoroastrian myths, and photos of prominent Parsis.

Mani Bhavan
Mani Bhavan, a museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, is also located in an old building where the famous pacifist once lived. Gandhi stayed here when he was in Mumbai, and it was here that he was arrested in January 1932. It was the base from where the famous leader started to put in action his campaigns of civil disobedience, Satyagraha, Swadeshi, Khadi and Khilafat. The museum contains a library, a photo gallery and a research center - plus you can visit Gandi's old bedroom.

Antarang
Antarang is the only sex museum in all of India. While it's located next to Mumbai's red-light district, the museum has a serious educational purpose, having been funded by local medical scientists and non-governmental organizations. The museum features displays about the history of sex in Indian culture.

Indian Fine Art Gallery
The Indian Fine Art Gallery is located in the Film Center Building. Open all year round, it presents modern artworks from mainly local artists, including paintings, photographs, sculptures and animated presentations.

Nehru Science Complex
The Nehru Science Complex boasts a planetarium, a gallery, a cultural-science center and a concert hall. It's also got several workshops on astronomy, aero-electronics modeling, creative science and rocket modeling centers. Its top attraction is the Discovery of India exhibition, which features 3D imaging of major architectural and artistic works as well as photographs, dioramas and audio-visual displays.

Tao Art Gallery
The Tao Art Gallery focuses on modern and contemporary art. Featuring four exhibition rooms, the gallery has diverse displays of paintings, photography, sculpture, performance and installation arts. Both well-known contemporary artists and emerging artists are featured in its very modern presentations.
